Through participant observation and extensive interviews with local people and project stakeholder, he has examined the impacts on local people and explored some of the wider environmental, socio-economic and cultural transformations resulting from the pipeline projects. The paper concludes with a list of recommendations to improve the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects, and related CSR programs, in Myanmar.
